We built our patio with your pup in mind. Water bowls, shade, space to stretch out — and zero judgment when they beg for your breadboard.
We get it. Your dog is family. And when you're looking for somewhere to eat on a nice day, "dog-friendly" shouldn't mean "we'll tolerate your dog if you keep them out of the way."
At Whitewater Rooftop Social, dogs aren't just allowed on the patio — they're part of the experience.
What We Mean by Dog-Friendly
Our 2,000 square-foot rooftop patio was designed with space. There's room between tables, room along the railing, and room for your 80-pound lab to sprawl out without being in anyone's way. We've seen everything from chihuahuas in purses to Great Danes who think they're lapdogs. All are welcome.
What we provide:
- Fresh water bowls — no need to ask, but we'll refill them as often as needed
- Shaded seating areas under the pergola for hot days
- A relaxed vibe where no one gives you the side-eye for having a dog at dinner
Tips for Visiting with Your Pup
Come during off-peak hours if your dog is nervous. Weekday afternoons are mellow — fewer people, more space. Weekend evenings are buzzing, which is great for social dogs but can overwhelm the anxious ones.
Bring a leash. Colorado law requires it, and it keeps everyone comfortable. We've got plenty of spots to loop a leash around a table leg.
Hot pavement check. In summer, the rooftop surface can get warm. We recommend the back of your hand test — hold it on the ground for 5 seconds. If it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for paws. Our pergola-shaded areas stay cooler.
The Regulars
We've got dogs who visit weekly. There's a golden retriever named Cooper who knows the route from the parking lot to his favorite spot by the railing. There's a border collie named Sage who watches the trains go by with an intensity that puts most humans to shame. And there's a French bulldog named Taco who has never met a breadboard he didn't want to be closer to.

One Last Thing
If your dog has a rough day — barking at other dogs, getting anxious, knocking over a water glass — that's okay. We've all been there. Our staff will help however they can. No judgment, no stress. We just want you and your pup to have a good time.
See you on the rooftop.
